About PITCOM

The Parliamentary Information Technology Committee or PITCOM is a former Associate Parliamentary Group. It was formed in 1981 with an aim to address issues related to IT, both limitations and opportunities of the new technologies, industry concerns, legislation and application of IT technologies across the public, private and economic sectors.

In 2011, PITCOM merged with the All-Party Group on the Digital Economy, forming today’s Parliamentary and ICT Forum or PICTFOR.
